Default How can I put an avatar by my name?

Hey everyone,
Can anybody tell me how I could get a picture by my name like some of you have? I found a mermaid picture that I want as my avatar and I don't know how to move it from that mermaid avatar web page to my neurotalk account. Keep in mind that I have traumaticc brain injury so I need it explained real simply.
Thanks you guys. Hope everyone is having a good day today. Happy valentines day. Love to all of you.

Here goes.... it is difficult to explain with words...

Right click on the avatar you found. A box will come up from
your computer on where to "save" it. You have to decide on this yourself. Make a name for it..that you can remember and where you put it. My Pictures is a good start.

Once it is on your computer, with a name/file location, you
can upload it here. We have size limits, and sometimes the software here will adjust for that. Sometimes not.
If it is "not" then there are adjustments you have to make.
Our size is 85x 85 pixels. Most commonly, .jpeg is the best format to use.

Go to CP in the upper left of the screen, to your profile and click modify avatar. The upload directions are there. If you fail in some way, go back and try again. Once you do one, you will see how the process works. You cannot break or ruin anything, so just keep trying.

Most of the functions here are step-wise and easy to follow.
There are avatar resizing free options on the net...if you Google that you'll find them if you cannot resize on your own computer.
Paint, is in accessories on MS PC's, and will resize your photos, etc..

Default Avatar instructions

Thanks Mrs. D,
So it sounds like I need to do this from my home computer instead of my i-pad. Is this correct? Because for the life of me I can't figure out how to copy paste or save something to a file on this thing. Maybe I-pad does not do that huh? I did figure out how to make myself a signature so I am proud of that. If all else fails I will have my daughter come help. Thanks again.

sorry, don't know anything about iPads.

You can save to an external place like Photobucket.
Photobucket is free, and even has resizing features to use.

Then you can link I think to a url to get the avatar here.
You could then use option 1, to copy from Photobucket.
That way you would not have a saved file on the iPad.

Option 2 in avatar edit is to copy from your computer.

I don't know how Ipads work for images and such either.
If you & daughter can't figure it out, contact me with the link to the mermaid picture and I can try adding it for you.
