So I'm getting the Samsung Chromebook soon, and I would like to put Fedora on the netbook, but I do not want to dual boot the computer. I've been scouring the internet trying to see if this is possible or been done, so I guess I'll ask here and hope that someone knows if this is possible

So if you don't want to dual boot, you are planning to wipe the installed OS and install Fedora only?
Do net books have a cd/dvd or a usb port? I would assume they do. Get Fedora or any of the many Linux distro burned to flash drive or Live cd/dvd. More info here- http://distrowatch.com/ I've found some computers act better with some versions so you may have to try a few to find a good fit

It looks like they have a Google Chrome OS installed on those netbooks. I don't know what that is like.
I'm not sure how a linux OS will work on it. You would need a USB drive with the Fedora on it or any other Linux distro. Oh, Here are some preistalled on USB or flash cards - but you should explore more places to make sure it will work on/with the chrome book. http://www.osdisc.com/products/usb/f...te=distrowatch I didn't change my Win 7 OS laptop to install Linux until the warranty had expired on the machine.

i have numerous pc's. im runnin windows 7 and 8. osx. chrome and umbuntu all on various pc's. i was leary at first about getting the chromebook but its awesome. kinda the point anyway. you can wipe it and run it from a usb but i dont see why you would. the chromebook is awesome man. its fast. app based store it all in the cloud. if you want to run linux you can but i would keep chrome. just an opinion |

Should go just fine, but I wonder- the Chromebook has the Chrome[Linux] operating system on it, which can be configured to fit your needs as well. |

Great find! I would definitely check to assure the warranty was not voided with a different OS installed.
