Default Spyware/roguekiller

I suspected I had a problem when I started getting ads for dates from scantily clad young girls....

It is

Heuristics/extra Heuristics/shuriken |pup| |pum|

and under it it said something was disabled but I didn't know it was important until I looked online, I think it was p2p.

they may have said it was Zeroaccess virus or something.

I ran quick malwarebytes and Norton scan and neither got it. Has anyone ever done it with full Malwarebytes scan? The Malwarebytes forum said to download roguekiller?

Its making my computer hot so will have to do something. Any suggestions appreciated, some of the online suggestions looked too hard for me. I don't even know if I can do the roguekiller if I have to disable Norton. I cant figure out how to download with the virus scanner on without it trying to install and get goobered up. Or does it know how?

thanks
judi

I haven't used rougekiller so not sure how to help for it.

Here are some other free virus remover tools - these might be easier to use, and all well known anti virus companies.

If you read about this product before using it - might be useful for you, I've used it a few times -and as long as you don't remove anything except the bad things (if they appear on the scan) you will be fine. you can do a search for anything that appears to see if ok or not.
Basically you tick the box if you want to remove something and click the remove or clean button at the bottom.

[HijackThis is a free utility that generates an in depth report of registry and file settings from your computer. HijackThis makes no separation between safe and unsafe settings in its scan results giving you the ability to selectively remove items from your machine. In addition to this scan and remove capability HijackThis comes with several tools useful in manually removing malware from a computer.

IMPORTANT: HijackThis does not determine what is good or bad. Do not make any changes to your computer settings unless you are an expert computer user.

Advanced users can use HijackThis to remove unwanted settings or files.]

[Its making my computer hot ]

Is there any new or loud noises from the fan area?
One member had a hot laptop & noisy fan and opened the cover to the fan and it was full of hair & linty stuff.

You can look on google or you tube for how to clean laptop fan.

As far as antivirus goes, I would recommend either Windows Security Essentials or AVG.

IF you have done all that you can do on trying to remove the ads, I would recommend using ComboFix. Google it, and just go by the directions. It's helped me plenty of times.
