I spent the summer in Wisconsin and had to hook up with TimeWarner. They supplied the modem and I had brought my wireless router. I hard wired to my laptop, (it was going to stay on the desk) but the tech set up my KindleFire HD and when my sister came over with her iPad she was able to connect to my WiFi with no problem.
