Do you have Malwarebytes? This is a free download....
It removed a PUP we got on our 1 day old new computer last spring when we downloaded Adobe reader. CNet.com is a good place to read about and download free malware fixers. PUPs are very common now, and we scan for them weekly. One week we had 9 of them. They come in now from all sorts of legit sites. You need to look at what you are doing on the net very carefully... some gaming sites have intrusive code on them now.
