Default ICLOUD downloads video as zip file?

Hi,

I'm working on a video project with someone and she's on a Mac from 2012. When she tried to download a video 5GB in size we had created from her iCloud to her Mac laptop the file came out as a zip file that was in MB not GB size. Is this normal when downloading from iCloud? Or is it a sign that it did not download properly? How do we fix it? Or how do we open the zip to add the video to google drive to be emailed?
Let me know? Thanks!

Hello again: Does anybody use something called "logic pad" on Mac to download from iCloud or iPhoto or "Photos" in Mac? We are thinking her pad may be the issue. Do you know how to export from iPhoto or Photos from a logic pad? How long does it take to export? Is logic pad the same as trackpad in Mac laptops? Help?

Thanks so so much! We have searched like 15 times now on Apple and no clues...any other ideas???? I think she meant "trackpad" not "logic pad" . I think her "photos" app is frozen and she's scared the computer will die completely because the whole machine is slow and if it dies we will lose footage....help?
