Only took me two hours with the Verizon Tech Guy, who at the end of our conversation said to me "my dear, you did most of the work, have you ever been in computers before??" To which I responded, "they sent me to IBM computer school 20 years ago, and I've been doing them ever since.
The guy told me "you cannot change the toolbar of the Outlook Express". Guess what?? I did, all you have to do is go to View, Layout, toolbars, and customize. He didn't know this. He could not get Outlook Express to download any mail. I suggested we go to Verizon Central and delete all the mail that was on their server. He said "oh good idea, but you have to do this one at a time" I responded, "No, we'll just check all the boxes, and hit the delete button". It worked. Then for some reason, it would not accept my password, so I just re-entered it. Everything works fine now. The guy actually thanked me. Told me he's been doing this for 2 years. I never told him how old I am. 60 in November. They should make me a Verizon techie. What a hoot. Melody
