Do you have a CD that came with the camera?
It probably has the drivers that the system needs.

If not you can look up your camera on the website for what ever brand it is.

I got a Olympus at a pawn shop and looked up the drivers and download support for it.

In your search bar -like Google- or which ever one you use just type the brand name - you can add camera drivers to narrow it down faster.
then just find the one that matches your camera and download it.
then double click to install it.
My reg keyboard got coffee spilled on it so I'm using a spare til it gets dry after rinsing it off, and it isn't as nice as my reg one...

If you need more help with that part of it let me know and I can walk you thru it
