• Can I subscribe to threads that I post on, so that new replies come to my email?

Good afternoon, Faith. I can help you out with some of your computer questions:

1) In the past I've changed mine on another forum with the help of an administrator. You may want to pm a moderator for help doing this task.

2) Enter User CP, select Edit Options, and then Messaging and Notification, Under Default Thread Subscription Mode you pull down the box and choose from 5 choices.

3) Enter User CP, select edit Avatar, follow instructions by choosing 1) enter URL to image on another website or 2) upload image from your computer.

To subscribe to a thread, use the Thread Tools pull down menu on the tool bar. There are 3 options, the bottom one is subscribe to this thread.

Find an avatar you like. Save it to your hard drive. And then go to User CP, and add it to your profile. It has to be small enough, but the instructions can be found in FAQs.

Or when all else fails, PM one of the Moderators. They are very helpful.

As for changing your user name, you have to ask one of the Moderators/Administrators to do that.

I guess that I am too technology challenged to follow your simple instructions. Managed to request email notification to subscribe d threads. Thanks. But . . . ,

Don't know how to find oput who the administrators or mods are.

And, when I tried to add my avatar, it showed up in the "Your Current Avatar" section, but I received a message saying Upload of file failed. Doesn't say why, and the same file worked on MSWrold board, which uses the same system, so it must be an OK size.

Faith,

I believe the moderator you need to contact is named Curious; her avatar is George the Monkey. She has a couple threads going in Multiple Sclerosis. When adding your avatar it shows a list of what files are acceptable and the sizes recommended. Hope this helps you out!
