The only thing I completely understood about what you said was DLL. I know that these initials mean Dynamic Link Library.
My son told me this years ago, and it stuck in my mind. Now I have to go and read your post over again, and learn how to do what you said. Oh, I did the system restore (to two days ago). It started up just fine after that. Keeping fingers and toes crossed.
