Default Photobucket problems

I'm having trouble accessing my Photobucket account.

I can sign in and move between each separate album that I've created. I can see all my pictures, but when I try to use them, nothing happens. I've tried clicking onto a photo and usually that photo will come up on the screen with the URL etc underneath, so I can use the picture in a post. Now the area where my photo should be is blank.

I've also noticed that every graphic/photo that I've used in posts on the board, have vanished off the site.

I've tried clearing out my cache and deleting cookies. I've restarted my computer. I've signed out and signed back in again, all to no avail!

Any other suggestions please?

anne, is your account set to private or public?

you may have gone over the bandwidth allowed. that can happen when you post a lot of pictures from photobucket on forums.

if people copy them...it takes away your bandwidth allowed

Thanx Curious.

I went in and checked, but my bandwidth did not appear to have been exceeded......(448 MB (0%) of 100 GB). I was set on Public though, so I changed the account to Private.

I'll wait a few days and see what happens. I'll be most distressed if I can no longer access it as I've saved some special pix in there in case this PC crashes on me.

As an addit, I thought I'd show you what I found in "my account"

Monthly Hits : 17730
Album Size : 76 MB (7%) of 1 GB

Monthly Bandwidth : 448 MB (0%) of 100 GB

The monthly hits is possibly related to what you were saying, 'cos there's no way that I would have accessed my photos 17,730 times in one month!

Koala, when you look under your pics do you see this under your picture?

Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

If so, you can click on the bottom one (MIG Code) and it automatically copies the image for you. Just come here and paste it or use the add image icon if needed.

I hope things get worked out for you. I just read that the "hit" count is from direct links to your albums not when someone looks at your albums. I have 3,180 and am now wondering did I place a link somewhere? LOL

Thanx Sandy, but you may have inadvertently helped me here, because when I went to see if I had those links that you were talking about, I saw something scary!

Whenever I click onto any of my albums there's a padlock at the end of them all!

It appears that every photo or graphic picture that I've saved has been locked!

I have no idea if I've done something wrong, 'cos as far as I know I didn't lock them myself! Besides, I wouldn't know how to.

I've sent off a letter to "contact us" on the ite, and I'll wait to see if they reply or not!

Do you think it's because you made it private?

Sorry I am late getting back to you. I was uploading pics to my new album.

Looks like you were right Sandy! I went back in and changed back to Public and the padlock vanished, but I still can't access my pix.

I'm right back where I started, so woe is me!

I don't want to play this game any more!

hi sweets.

i'm foggy brained from no sleep, so bare with me.

the lock means when you post a picture, people can't get in to look at you album.

the pictures that are gone, are they pictures you uploaded from your computer or ones you copied from other sites?

In answer to your question curious, my pictures are a combination of both. Some are from my own computer, and some I've collected from other sites.

I can understand your fog if you haven't slept and it's almost my bedtime here, so I'll check back tomorrow to see if you've had any brain waves for me about this wee poblem.

Sorry to be such a problem child, but this one has me stumped.

check your pop up blocker. is it blocking the pop ups from photobucket?

they changed their editing feature. it might be getting blocked.

can you pm me the link to you photobucket and i can check?

it's all of your photo's that this is happening to right?

i'm having my coffee...waking up.
