Food for thought.

The laser printer on the computer desk near you could be making you ill.

Shocked Wow...

Where I used to work...before I retired, we had at least 25
laser printer faxes that went all day long in a bank along one wall of our workspace! The closest people were 5 ft away or closer, and the ave distance to the other cubicles was about 20 ft or so.

I did not work in that part of the building. But I worked in the next room. But we had FOUR cardiovascular events within 12 months that year. I've been there 8 or so years, and no one has had a heart attack or stroke before this cluster.
And two of these 3 were young, one a gal with 3 kids who was 32, the other a 47 yr old woman. (both very close to the incoming faxes) The 3rd person was a floor supervisor (whose desk was just outside that door, who died in his sleep ...45. The fourth was a woman in the computer room, who had atrial fib attack...51.
The air in that building was terrible...I used to feel sick there fairly often and mentioned it more than once...something in the building was toxic. I was thinking black mold hidden in the roof area since we'd get leaks. But now? well, this is a distinct possibility!

And you know pharmacies typically have at least 2 and maybe 3 printers right where one stands at the counter! Right on top of you!

I'm sending this to my son! He wanted us to get a laser printer last time, and we bought another inkject instead! Whew!

I wonder what this will lead to? Redesign?

Thanks for posting it!
