I got reminders (as usual) for my updates..Java and an IE 7.0.
So I did that earlier in the week. Now I am getting an error message when I reboot: GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic Link Library PSPI.DLL The box title is MotiveSB.exe entry point not found. Is this important? I just closed the box, but of course it does not go away. Second question... my DSL is acting up..and was dead this morning. (It was slow now and then a few days ago) So we did the modem/router/computer reboot sequence and it is fixed for now. Is this typical, or does anyone know if this means I have a hardware failure coming? or is it because of the new updates? ![]() I was able to get on here finally. We called the DSL 1-800 number after doing an internal diagnostic and the first suggestion did fix the problem for now. I have little to no experience with DSL...perhaps this is a common event?

I don't use the IE at all and I'm not up on those filenames.. hope someone pops in with an answer for you.
but for the DSL I had to do the {tech call line }diagnostic 1x but a few times when it was slow we turned it all off and unplugged the power {we have a router too} so shut it all down for a minute or so- and then fire it all up and restart the computer too. it usually gets it speeded up. we have had it since spring?? and only one problem where I had to call customer service tech helpline. If you have a wireless?? try moving the antenna around or the access point /router different angles change it sometimes. my computer is about 20' away from the access point/router and thru a doorway. our connection was really slow over the holiday?? that's what i noticed prob the updates might have caused it- if a hardware you might notice weird sounds or odd hangs/mini crashes at times- just guessing here

We finally figured it out and I posted the fix here:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=8484 It involves 2 files that fight with each other. One from the router software, and the new one that is in the Explorer 7.0 update.
