Default A life of painful leisure

I was sitting in the waiting room.
When a nurse asked......
Who I might be
But I'm so much more than the eye can see.
I'd like to think
I'm a dream
A dream two beautiful people had
I'd like to think
I'm a touch
A warm and loving touch
One night of two beautiful people
Holding hands
I'd like to think
I'm a smile
One shared between just the two
I'd like to think
That I'm the first light
Of the moon
Or the morning dew.
Where mom and dad
Smiled
Held hands
And all their dreams came true
If that was
My sole purpose in life
And it very well could be
I'll be content
How could I ever be
More than a dream?
Knowing what that dream meant.

To Lloyd & Violet
from your well meaning but not always on tract daughter
