Hi, I'm new here (my New Member post hasn't been approved yet, but it'll be up soon enough), and saw this forum. Right up my alley!
I "Zentangle" or "Doodle draw". I'm part of a community of women that do this type of drawing and many of us use it as a way to deal with pain. *edit*. You can also go to Pinterest and type in Zentangle in their search option to get the idea. Anyone can do this artform. You just need paper and a pencil. Or the micron fine point pens. It's repetitive drawing that takes you out of the moment of your pain and helps you to concentrate on something else. I find this very, very relaxing. My family says you can always tell when I'm hurting really badly if I've got my sketchpad and pens out. I also paint and create in other mediums, but I use ZT as a way to just step away from the pain for a while. If this site will allow it, then I will attach a picture of something I've done:*edit* Last edited by Chemar; 02-12-2014 at 07:46 PM. Reason: Linking guidelines for new members |
