I think Ill take a hike
Or maybe I will ride my bike
Unless it is to far
Then I will take my car.
But I can quickly reach
The warm sunny beach
And not have to pay
For that part of the day.

In the early morning mist,

Look uo and you will see the trees

Adorned in lacy green,

Blending softly with the skies

Like a poet`s song and dream.


Then you will close your eyes and float

on clouds of pink and blue,

For in your heart you caught the joy

As I listened to her story,
I gazed at her knuckles,
Frozen in a twisted painful grip.
Arthritis and age had taken control,
But in times before that, busy!
Washing cloths till bleached raw knuckles hurt.
Oh yes, yes back in the day…
That is what she would say.
“I painted scenes of deer and duck,
Scrubbed many a floors spic-n-span of muck.
Held many babies and none of them were mine,
Couldn’t have one for myself but that is fine.
Good old fashion hard work and creativity
That’s what my knuckles and hands did for me.”
We sipped on sweet tea with straws,
As she talked about her knuckles and “claws”.

heavens and havens whats your decision
between the two there is a division
one is a place to escape and crawl back home
the other we obtain when our souls are alone
the havens hide us for a while to help us return
heaven is salvation and hell as we are told we shall burn
so as I look up to the stars and wonder where heaven rest
hoping its more than in my own mind I dream of it with zest
that pearly gate the happiness and friends of the past
knowing havens are temporary but heaven shall forever last

Oh nan, I see you adopted the little guy. Is he in you Siggy now?? Kittens are So fulfilling to the soul, aren't they?? so much Love in the little ones.

As far as "Hospital"??!! Uh UH, too depressing.

I will tell a brief story of what come to mind when I think of hospital.

I was About 16, my First job as Candy Striper; volunteer at hospital. They brought in an older lady, very sick, I was assigned to help her get settled in her room, make her comfortable in her bed, get into her robe. She was settled, layed back on pillows, obviously in pain. Nurse came in and gave her a shot then left. I asked her if she wanted anything, she said "Tea and some toast with jam would be nice." Then I asked her what was wrong, why she was here. She pulled down front of her robe and showed me her left breast. It looked like scrambbled eggs. She looked up at me and said "Cancer". Then covered herself up. I said, I will be right back with your tea. I went to kitchen made her tea and toast and came back with it on a tray for her. When I came back in the room she was laying back with her eyes closed. I tried to wake her, she wouldn't wake up. She had passed away.
