John made the boxes then cut the holes
For Lisa's beanbag toss game
She painted one pink and one lime green
But really their the same

You stand several yards from the hole
Then try to toss the bag in
Whoever gets the most in that target
Is happily going to win

The boys and girls played the game
The girls won, by far
Matt began to wipe his eyes
He thought he would be the star

My dd, Lisa liked this poem but Matt & his freind probably wont. They played it last night.

He took her by the hand,

As they walked along the beach.

Never did they see people

Depart from the oar to

Shore!!!!!!!!!!!

TAG...... HOME

Jaime_S 05-31-2008 12:17 AM

Home

Home is your hiding place,
Your escape from it all,
Home is your saving grace,
Not answering their call.
Home is your warm embrace,
Snuggled up in your bed,
Home is your comfort space,
Relieving the pain in your head…

I’ve never been one to wander and roam,
Much more at ease within few miles of home.
Day trips are more of my cup of tea–
No tickets on the space shuttle for me!
I counted them up, the states where I’ve been,
And it’s so pathetic–there’s not even ten!
New England? I think I’ve been to them all,
Sorry, Rhode Island, I just can’t recall.
On our way to Ohio, we went through PA,
But it was at night, and I slept all the way.
New York on the same trip, just passing through,
Once to the City, and to Frontier Town, too.
Sometimes I think a road trip might be cool,
If I take out a mortgage to pay for the fuel.

Of cozying up to strangers
I’m just not in the habit,
But with you, if there’s a moment
I might just have to grab it.

------------
Fabric Sky-BMW
A dark sequined coat,
Of night changes to,
Fabric of morning,
Orange velvet sunrise,
Over silky smooth clouds.
-----------------

Perfect Fit-BMW-
The fabric of me ,
Is pretty baggy.
Stretched and worn,
Been ripped and torn.
The fabric of me,
Like silly putty.
Big stretchy grin,
From always smiling.

TAG--- THE DRUMS

Wiix 06-02-2008 10:49 AM

The drum is always beating
From the second you are born
Deep inside you
Always beating
It keeps you alive
And warm
So many things affect
It's rhythm
Be it Hate
Or passion
Or Love
This drum is given to all of us
From a Heavenly being above.

>TAG< Monkeys

Blessings2You 06-02-2008 04:37 PM

When I was little
They said a certain man
Had a monkey on his back;
I thought they meant a real monkey.
I didn’t know
How that monkey got on his back;
I wondered if it scratched and bit
And reached to grab his food.
I wondered if it squawked and chattered,
And why no one plucked it off his back.
I was so relieved to learn
The monkey wasn’t real.

I knew that man;
He never got to be as old as I am now.
I think he must have wished
To trade for a real monkey.
It might have bit and scratched,
But it wouldn’t have killed him.

Wonderful insight B2Y but I think funeral flowers has already been done. I am relatively sure since I did them. :o
