Default All that gliters

A poem from my writing group to share

All that glittlers
Reading last years cards again
their glitter sticking to my hands
like snowflakes from Decembers past
that time somehow forgot to melt.
Old starlight spilled from enevlopes
now reawakened on my palm,
each gleam a tiny souvenir
of when you took pen in hand
and wrote some word
then signed your name
affixed a stamp and sealed the flap,
perhaps you even dwelt on me.
Once more the glitter dots connect
across the expanse of silent nights,
and I see your face again
in memories each spark ignites.
