Needing help in determining if I may have a CSF leak.
Had head injury in 1990. In a jail and not treated. May have weakened things. Did affect my hearing. Had Sinuplasty (balloon of sinuses) in 2008. Since that time drainage from left only, pressure on forehead but not headaches, really just pressure on left forehead. Waves of pressure on forehead. I have regular drainage - alot of Post nasal drip. I have always had tinnitus but now it has gotten much worse and even changed tone. Louder. right side is fine. Just while typing this I had a large drainage from the left. I am also having a strange sensation of something flowing in that left ear. Warm feeling. Had CT SCAN and ENT says that left sinuses are not draining and wants to do more surgery. Says it is not CSF leak. But I get more drainage working out and he says that is just because I am pressuring the sinuses. I think the increased flow is FROM the straining and the leak. Should I turn to another ENT or is it really just sinus pressure and regular sinus drainage. Funny thing - nasal steroids don't help! Anyone ever heard of this - could it be neck issues or back issues or something else. To add to this MCS started for me right after I had the surgery for Balloon Sinuplasty. |
