Hi! I had my dental implant surgery yesterday. Since the surgery I have been feeling nauseous off and on. The surgery went good. I am swollen and sore, but not in that much pain. I also am not sick, so I wasn't sure if it was normal to feel a little nauseous for a few days after surgery. I am taking Amoxicillin, but have taken it before and never gotten nauseous from it. Anyone have a similar experience or know if this is normal?

Another thought, sometimes pain can actually make you naseous as well. My doc had mentioned that since the nerves in the jaw and face can get inflamed etc.

Thanks, I didn't think about pain causing nausea. I feel a lot better today. So I think the nausea is gone. :-)

straycat,
Depending on where you live... any medical or dental out of pocket expenses in any given year can be tax deductible. The amount of your allowable deductions are dependent upon your income. Also depending on where you live.... your travel mileage back and forth to the doctor or dentist may be dedutable. Please feel free to share your dental story here as it may be helpful to others reading it. Thanks. Bryanna
