My New Partial and Problems
Bryanna,
I've been reading your responses to others problems here and I pray you can help me. It seems most of these people are in the UK and here in the USA we have nothing like NHS yet and we must find the most economical way we can in some situations to get our teeth taken care of. I do have dental insurance but it covers nothing on dentures or partials. I had the name of an elderly gentleman who made dentures and partials as a retirement income. My mother loved his work as did my sister. I went last week and had my impressions done and then yesterday, when I was supposed to call to arrange a pick up of my partial he was VERY ill and his daughter was taking him to the hospital and he was admitted. I went and got the partial but he told me on the phone that it might need some adjustments. When he said "might need some adjustments" was he talking about the pink gum portion that feels so thick I can't even talk right? For instance, when I try to call my dog, whose name is LUCY, it comes out...(don't you DARE laugh now) LOOTHEEEE! I'm devastated. But really, the partial doesn't fit flush with the roof of my mouth because the right side needs to be adjusted for the clasp to fit over my tooth like the other side does. The left side fits perfectly. The teeth are too white too in comparison with my natural teeth. That's MY fault though. He had given me a strip of teeth in a box to look at and choose which one I felt best matched. Obviously I was wrong. Can this be helped at all? I need my teeth so bad. I have a huge job interview and I NEED this job. I just don't want to look like a hillbilly when I go apply. Kindest regards! Donna
