Hi Pennye,

Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Okay, thanks for posting the xrays and photo.
Unfortunately, your panorex is only of somewhat diagnostic quality. You need additional periapical (single films) of your upper and lower left side. You also need 2 bite wing xrays of each side to see interproximally to rule out decay in between the teeth. These areas will show more conclusively on bite wings. So you may have additional problems that are not evident due to the quality of this xray. FYI.... panoramic radiographs are good at diagnosing anatomical abnormalities in the jaw bone. They are generally not good for diagnosing dental decay. All dentists are aware of this.

FYI.. anytime you have a heavy buildup of tartar/calculus on your teeth as you do, decay can be underneath that build up that may not show up on an xray. It will become evident once the tartar is removed. So please keep that in mind.

I don't know if you are comfortable withe me posting my findings in public so I will pm them to youwhich are based on the xrays and picture that you have provided. They may be different than what you have been given as there may be other areas that can only be seen clinically and/or with those additional xrays. Also as I'm glancing at your treatment list I think some things have been missed or perhaps you haven't been told....??

Okay, so check your notifications box for my findings.

Bryanna
