One more question. How do you feel it might be a good idea to use colloidal silver on the extraction site? I thought about trying 1 teaspoon twice a day, let it sit for a couple minutes and then swallow... Your thoughts?

Ashley,
I am an advocate of using colloidal silver when it is in the nano particle form. However, you should avoid using anything on the extraction site until the tissue has closed over. Warm salt water rinses are best during the initial post op stage while the tissue is open as the salt will not interfere with the healing. Are you taking Arnica?? Or any other homeopathic? Bryanna |

No, not taking arnica. I did think about buying some cell salts though to help with bone healing? I have very little swelling and no bruising, do you think I need arnica?

Ashley,
I use Arnica for every bump and bruise. I even use it pre and post op dental cleanings... just because You can use homeopathic cell salts under the tongue. Bryanna |

The Dentist called to check on me Thursday morning. I told her I was feeling a bit more sore than the days prior (had the tooth extracted Monday) so she told me to come in. She said everything looked good aside from some redness and irritation around the sutures. Each day it's gotten worse. So I think it's official I'm allergic to these stupid sutures. I've had 3 other surgeries and the last 2 I had reactions too. It's driving me insane itching and burning. I wish there was a way I could take them out myself but I'm afraid I will knock the clot out.

Ashley,
When do you see her for another post op check? Generally the sutures (even self dissolving ones) can be removed 7-10 days post op one extraction. If they are causing you a lot of irritation and discomfort, then see her for the removal of them. Bryanna http://toothbody.com/wp-content/uplo...v2.1_rehme.swf Quote:

Hope things are now fine with Ashley. I'm now staring down the removal of 3 root canal teeth (by preference ofcourse, I haven't seen any major problems with my health - except strange skin rashes and issues that simply have not cause - I eat organic, use mostly organic products)
Bryanna is a tooth fairy/angel for so many here...she is giving just the right advice. Now because of her, I know what questions to ask the dentist (there are absolutely no biological dentists here in Bangalore, India). I have to make do with a regular dentist... I only hope that removal of the teeth does not create a bone socket or whatever and weaken the jaw bone (ofcourse homeo medicines like like plantago Major, Kreosotum, Calc Carb, Calc Flour will hopefully take care of this) I would be so happy if you can spare few seconds of your time and respond with an one liner Bryanna...that will give me invisible courage I'm also planning to learn Reiki to improve my overall health and ability/strength to overcome the issues of missing teeth ! |

AH2015,
Thank you again for the kind words ~'.'~ Good to hear that you eat organically. This will help so much during the healing phase of the extractions. The homeopathic Arnica is also helpful with surgery healing. Regarding the extractions.... seek an oral surgeon if not a holistic dentist. Any time a tooth is extracted, there going to be a large hole or socket in the bone where the tooth use to be. This hole/socket will eventually fill in to some degree with jaw bone and the gum tissue will close over. You will have some degree of bone loss after the site heals, that is normal. Are the teeth all in a row or scattered throughout your mouth? Are you missing other teeth? How is the health of your mouth and other teeth? Bryanna Quote:
