Hi Cordy,
Ugh..... :/ Ideally the root should be extracted as soon as possible after the incident of it breaking off. That root is infected and there was infection already in the bone which was determined by the xray at the time of the extraction. So yes, there is a potential (not a definite) for it to become a larger infection. Is there any way you can get in to see an OS sooner? Can you see a private one rather than at the hospital?
