Hello,
Yesterday I had 3 of my root canal molars extracted by an oral surgeon. One of them was infected already, the second one had a lot of decay so it was ready to go too and I decided to remove the third one cause I know it was a matter of time for it to catch an infection and because I'm well aware of the risks of having root canals. When I told the surgeon about removing the third one he gave me a look, like thinking "are you out of your mind?" and he made me sign an extra authorization stating that it was my choice to get that tooth extracted but I was determined and went ahead and signed it. Now my only concern is that he didn't remove the periodontal ligament on all of my teeth, only on the infected one and I'm very worried about that cause I don't want to get cavitations in the future!! I called the surgeon this morning asking why he didn't remove the periodontal ligament and he said that it gets desintegrated during the extraction and not to worry about getting cavitations!! he's obviously not a biological dentist!! now what should I do?? I hope I can get a response from Bryana!! thank you all!! PS I'm sorry about my english it is my second language!!
