Hi AH,

Okay, good that you found a qualified surgeon and one you feel comfortable going to. I hope he is thorough in his care.

Please check back with us when you can. We will be thinking about you and hoping all goes well!

He knows about removal of periodontal ligament, debriding the socket of necrotic tissues and cleaning the surrounding bone...he calls it curette. He even gave me the treatment plan where he is charging seperatly for extraction and for curette. I'm really happy A surgeon will do this for me.
I wont take antibiotics, he is OK with it, conditional to taking only liquid food for 5 days and seeing him every 2 days. He is also giving all appropriate instructions regarding salt water rinse after 24 hours etc...mostly we will get all 3 RC teeth out tomorrow itself (going on 5 day liquid diet twice is not easy!) - he has told me I can decide during the surgery based on my comfort level.
This will be done with local anastesia with vasocontrictors ofcourse.
Thank you for all the help Bryanna.
Let me know whether you would like some recipes from me
I will get back in few days and update again Thank you

Thank you so much for your kind thought Bryanna.
Your support was something that really gave me the courage and knowlege to go through this.
Now that infection is out, I'm really happy
1 lower RC came out easily - root and all - he did did the curette - by scraping the socket clean, spraying the salt water and sucking out debris (sorry for my lack of better words!)
2nd lower RC came out in 2 pieces and he did the curetting.
The upper RC was like a nightmare - it had more infection - it just kept on crumbling - he had to drill a hole in the jaw bone to remove the roots and complete the curetting (I'm glad he did, though it was not pleasant - I told him even if he drills a big hole it is fine with me, as long as removes the infection fully !! )

He assured me that he has removed all the visible infection - however if some infection has spred into the pores of adjacent bone - as is likely - my body would surely take care of it now that the source is removed.
This makes sense. Body is immensely powerful, isn't it? he also supported my decision to heal without anti biotics (which I believe sometimes handicapps body's immesely powerful natural army force)

I'm taking homeo and tissue salts. If my body could keep the infection contained inspite of this nasty dead tooth, now that curette is done, I'm sure it will heal fully ... even if there are some traces in bone (afterall he can't remove too much bone)

Am I right Bryanna? Please let me know.

Thank you so much again.

Hi AH,

How are you doing since the extractions of your teeth?

Glad to hear that the dentist complied with your requests to perform thorough extractions. I'll bet your glad that you spoke up

It is true that the source of the infection is now gone as the source were the teeth. However, your body may or may not be able to eradicate remnants of infection on it's own. That does not happen "automatically". The hope is that your immune system is healthy enough to take care of it, but no one can definitively say that is so.

If you develop unexpected symptoms, for instance you felt things were progressing along nicely and then suddenly developed pain or swelling or feeling of being unwell. That could indicate that your immune system is not able to handle the infection so you should see the oral surgeon.

Homeopathic remedies are extremely therapeutic in so many ways and when taken properly and matched up according to the particular issue, they are of even more benefit. However, homeopathy cannot eradicate the body of infection. They can stimulate the immune system to become eager in its function but that may or may not be enough. It depends on the infection.

So be mindful of how you are feeling and how you are healing. Hopefully all will go well and uneventfully!!

Bryanna
