Default any remedy for a loose tooth?

i have a loose lower front molar that a dentist says must be extracted. the tooth has no decay and the only issue is that it's loose.

i asked him if it could be salvaged & he said extraction is the only way to go.

i was hoping to see if some kind of gum surgery could prevent loss of the tooth.

thanks for any thoughts/experiences with this.

Hello Antonina: Welcome to NeuroTalk! I'm sorry I cannot comment with regard to treatments for your loose tooth. However, do check out the stickies at the top of the Dentistry & Dental Issues forum listing. There are links to quite a few valuable dentistry-related websites there.
