Default Well, RATS

We left home at 5:35 AM .....Today was the routine, every 3 months, check-up brain MRI and meeting with the surgeon who removed the tumor in Feb. The MRI showed everything was 100% clean and clear but the surgeon was alarmed because of the seizures I've had the last 2 months and my neuro is on leave -- she had her first baby a month or 2 ago.
We told him about my trouble with short term memory and word finding -- that's worse than seizures right now.

This is all too long to tell - I could not believe how long we talked. I couldn't believe what we talked about. I can't believe any of this.

At 4:30 this afternoon my neuro's nurse phoned - good grief - my neuro (on leave), another neuro and the surgeon had arranged a conference call. I was to increase another med tonight, expect another phone call within 2 days to arrange another hospital stay, more MRI, PET, VEEG, maybe WADA, neuropsych.

I don't know what's happening. I don't know what to do.

Ooohhh long night. We lost power again. We were without power for 3 days and nights last week. How it hurt to wake up without it tonight - but we were out only 3 1/2 hours.

Thanks you Julie and Curious for listening to me - you have no idea at all how much that means to me.

I am dealing with some great doctors and they do reiterate all my options - even saying "no" and walking out - over and over. I'm told what the possibilities of dying during surgery are and things like that. I look at a break-apart model of the brain and drawings until I get dizzy.
I know I can take the weeks of tests and still say, "Thanks but I don't want surgery".

I know if I have the surgery that may relieve the seizures. my short term memory and word finding ability will be even more damaged.

I suppose the surgery I really need is one that will control this talking too much.
