Thanks for your replies, I knew it couldn't have been a seizure. It just worried me that a doctor would tell me that I had a seizure out of the blue. But I've ruled out seizures, and syncope is still a maybe. It was as if I actually tried to get away from the frog too fast for my own good and ended up hurting my finger and falling onto the floor instead. The good old fight or flight response in times of fear is to blame I think. Doctors either worry you to the bone or do nothing.
