Hi Dean,

I've had absence and complex partial sz. for 41 yrs. and just like you I also have seasonal seizures. I always have more sz. in the fall and winter compared to the spring and summer and my Epileptologist told me this happens to some people do to the increase or decrease or serotonin. When there's more serontonin in the spring and summer I have fewer sz. but in the fall and summer the serontonin level goes down and that's when I have more sz.
I tried taking tompax a few yrs. ago but it wasn't strong enough for me and my sz. increased, on top of that I didn't want to eat at all. I have found that the drug vimpat has done wonders controlling my complex partial sz. I only had 7 of them last yr. and that's very low for me. One thing you can try is taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day. Vitamin B12 calms the nerves down and it has greatly reduced my sz. plus you don't need a prescription for the vitamin.
I've gotten the best help from seeing an Epileptologist these Drs. specialize in epilepsy and I've found they know how to treat the epilepsy much better than many of the neuros. I've seen over the yrs. As Darlene mention keep track of your sz. and take note if they happen when a low pressure is headed your way and also take note if you happen to have any cp sz. when you or others around you are using a cell phone. If this happens you may be "cell phone sensitive" which means the frequency of the cell phone is causing sz. I found out I have this problem and it's not easy when I have to go to the stores. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Sue
