Hi Britanie,
Welcome to the forum! I have had absence. complex partial, and simple partial seizures for 35 yrs. not to mention I had 2 brain surgeries to help reduce my seizures.
When I first started having sz. at the age of 10 the sz. were very much like grand mal sz. until I was put on sz. med (AED's).
I have an Uncle and 2 cousins that both have had grand mal sz. and they were on the ketogenic diet and it stopped their sz. for many yrs. I've been on the diet myself and it works great along with taking Vitamin B12 once a day. Feel free to ask any questions here you will get a lot of support and many friends. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!
