Zoe's EEG went really well. She performed like the doctors
wanted her to. If there was a perfect time to have a seizure, durring an EEG would be the time. And Zoe decided to actually cooperate. And boy did she cooperate! They flash a strobe light in front of the kid's eyes when they do the test, and that caused Zoe to have a seizure. They had to call a doctor in to give her Diastat (a medication that stops seizures ASAP) because it was a rather big seizure. They kept telling me that believe it or not this is a very good thing because it means that they caught it and are able to see where these seizures are coming from in the brain. So I guess this is good news in a very odd sort of way. We go to the doctor on Monday and will know the results of everything then. |
