Default April showers bring May flares?

I have been battling major pain the last few weeks more than usual. And it's like...it just hits! Wake up in the early morning and every fiber of your being just aches and throbs and hurts. I've had quite a few days when absolutely nothing has helped.

Well, one day I had relief when my son-in-law gave me 2 of his percodans from his recent ear surgery. Everything quit hurting except for the very tips of my knees! (What is it with knee pain never going away???) I was so greatful.

But that was that day. Vicodin does nothing unless I take 2 at a time, makes me really sleepy, and isn't effective enough..

My doc suggested I try Savella and my response is no way. I refuse to take anything that makes me gain weight ever again. Wait, what's the other problem with Savella? Oh, I've heard a lot of talk about high blood pressure. I don't need that either!

Did I mention I can't think or talk coherently either? LOL! I feel like I've lost whatever memory I had left! I just look at people trying to think of words and feel like an idiot. Does anyone else in here have the fibro fog problem? Seriously, sitting at work and dealing with higher education folks...I feel like a complete idiot most days when I try to carry on a conversation and halt constantly trying to think of the correct words. Geesh!

I just wanna go to sleep for a long time! Wake me when it's over!
