We can't diagnose you over the internet, but there are some great fibro sites to visit listed in the sticky thread at the top of the Forum page.
My fav is the mayo clinic - http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fibromyalgia/DS00079 From there, you can see the list of symptoms and trigger points associated with fibromyalgia and have a clearer understanding of what fibro is about. The symptoms you list could be associated with fibro, but they could be something else as well. Why do you think that your NS is wrong in their dx of fibro? Always, seara |

The conferences I have been attending..for the past few years, have new ideas and results from research.
Here is the thread I made from the first one I went to. Dr. Clauw stated back then that trigger points were being dropped as a diagnostic criteria. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread20030.html

Trigger points or tender points?
That is the question ... or do neither one matter for fibro?? Some sites still mention tender points and some suggest they are trigger points , but i think they are separate things, myself.. I have a few of the tender point locations as shown on the big name medical websites in the fibro sections - hopefully they are kept up to date... ![]() I for sure get trigger points that can be resolved by the pressure techniques. my tender points - no change at all but I don't have any of the main sx of fibro - no fatigue, no all over pain .

Dr. Clauw's didn't mention "tender points" only trigger points in his lecture on Fibro.
His lecture was geared to the doctors in the audience. I think it will take alot of time, to turn around the fibro diagnosis. Many fibro patients still take opiates, and he also said that opiated don't work well for fibro either. Here is what I found on the definitions of these terms: http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=...FgGa3R3TDMwf4g @Razzle--- your symptoms seem more like a neuropathy to me. Fibro is often labeled when doctors don't understand the pain situation the patient is describing. I think this label is often misapplied.
