Confused Fall

Last Thursday, I fell over a heavy piece of metal equipment at work. I tripped.
I hit my shin so hard, I wasn't aware of much else at the time. I went to the school nurse, who bandaged my bleeding leg and gave me some ice. About an hour later, I filled the toilet with blood.
I went to the ER, and they did some tests. The cat scan came out negative. There was blood in my urine. It slowed down while I was there. ABout ten or then thirty, they said I probably bruised my kidney, and I could go home. I was still passing a little blood at the time.
Friday, I called my Pdoc, who said to take it easy, and he would see me on Monday.
I was having a FLARE before this started from overexerting myself at work for two weeks. I've been in a super-flare the past couple of days.
Today I feel a bit more human.
This is pretty scary. I have a lot of questions to ask the pdoc tomorrow, like how do they KNOW it is a bruised kidney? it sounds like an educated guess to me...
Any thoughts?

Please be careful and take care of yourself. I'm honestly not sure how
to tell if its a bruised kidney.

I would say that if its the bleeding that it could be a bruised kidney that
your worried about. But if its the bruising and the pain then it
could be the flaring is back and really making it come out of control.

I'm really new to fibromyalgia.

So I'm not good for a answer person, but I really am sending good wishes.

Donna

About the bruised kidney I can’t offer any answers. As for the flare and moving to a super flare. The stress of the whole thing…the bleeding and all could very easily put you over the top. Stress for someone with fibro is like throwing gas on a fire.

Write down you question so you will remember them better. I find if I don’t write them down for sure I will forget something…

Hugs and prayers are shooting your way!!

Default Thanks all

I'm feeling much better, now. It was a scary ordeal. The only problem now is that my employer, a high school, is giving me a hard time about the workmen's comp insurance. My principal witheld the accident report I gave him from town hall, so the town denied my claim. He lied to the union boss and said I never gave him a report. Today he told me he sent it to the superintendent. Honestly, I don't know what makes some people tick. He's a control freak who evidently gets his kicks misusing his power.
