Last Thursday, I fell over a heavy piece of metal equipment at work. I tripped.
I hit my shin so hard, I wasn't aware of much else at the time. I went to the school nurse, who bandaged my bleeding leg and gave me some ice. About an hour later, I filled the toilet with blood. I went to the ER, and they did some tests. The cat scan came out negative. There was blood in my urine. It slowed down while I was there. ABout ten or then thirty, they said I probably bruised my kidney, and I could go home. I was still passing a little blood at the time. Friday, I called my Pdoc, who said to take it easy, and he would see me on Monday. I was having a FLARE before this started from overexerting myself at work for two weeks. I've been in a super-flare the past couple of days. Today I feel a bit more human. This is pretty scary. I have a lot of questions to ask the pdoc tomorrow, like how do they KNOW it is a bruised kidney? it sounds like an educated guess to me... Any thoughts? ![]() |
