Hi Star, welcome.
I completely understand as well. My very first flare was misdiagnosed as a 'virus'. They said I just had gotten a strange virus that spread throughout my entire system. Because, there wasn't a spot on me, below my neck, that didn't hurt. Horrible pain. I was given Vicodin by my doctor for the pain. Told me to rest, etc, ride it out. I was back inside a month, exhausted from living with the pain. I'd go home from work and wrap myself in hot blankets from the dryer. Inside a month, I was back. Ended up back at rheumy doctor and he diagnosed the fibro. They gave me Percodan, and it was the only pain medicine that got me through that first huge appearance of the fibro. Vicodin didn't touch the pain. Sorry you are part of this group! It's an annoying and often painful health problem.
