Well, I went to the neuro last week armed with information I learned here. I have undiagnosed neuropathy which my rheumatologist says is not related to the arthritis and the endo says it is not caused by the diabetes because the A1c is not high enough to cause neuropathy. He did take a list of all my meds last time I saw him and checked to see if they could impact the neuropathy, which has been getting worse and spreading faster than ever. he took me off the simvastatin (sp) I was on for cholesterol. I have to say that the symptoms have decreased somewhat. he said if there was not significant improvement at the next visit he wanted me to go to the Mayo clinic and let them see if they can diagnose it. At this point I am even wondering if it will ever be correctly diagnosed, or if it is, will anything help with it.
Seems like all I have is a list of chronic diseases.
It is hard sometimes to keep positive about them and feel like there will be answers down the road. On top of everything I have been working close to 60 hours a week for the past few weeks, and looks like that will be continuing for a while. Stress level so high the roseacea has my face looking like one big sunburn!!!!
And of course, that makes my face feel like it is burning too, so I guess it kind of balances out the burning on my feet and lower legs.
I am wondering how many of you have gotten an actual diagnosis of your neruopathic condition. If so, how was it diagnosed? I want to discuss this more thoroughly when I go back to the neuro next month. I don't want to simply go in for more tests unless I can have some sort of hope that they will do any good in supplying some answers.
Thanks for any info you can give me.
