![]() This is my first visit to NeuroTalk which I found after searching for information on Stellate Ganglion Nerve Blocks. I found the thread and must say it left me a little worried re the side effects but more than that the fact I have an appointment for one has me worried. I have been on a waiting list to see a pain management specialist for 2.5 years, I have chronic pain and bi-laterial cervicial ribs along with other things and asked for a referal as my pain med needs were starting to worry me - at this stage I dont go more than 3/4 hours without meds just to live as normally as I possibly can while I was just at the stage of needing daily pain meds and valium when I made the request to be referred. Now its great that there is some movement but the thing that scares me slightly is that I have not yet had an appointment to see the specialist, I have not be assessed by his team. Now I'm a fairly regular visitor to my local hospital and truth to tell they have a hefty file filled with all sorts of tests/info ect but is it usual? Has anyone here be booked for a procedure under a specialist who they have never been seen by and without a prior assessment? It has been pointed out by a friend that they probably have all the info they could possibly need without talking to me but it just feels odd to me?? |
