This post will be very similar to a post from Utah Chriss back in Feb. of 2009. My symptoms are exactly the same. Unfortunately he never posted his diagnosis. I will quote much of his post...

Look for thread number 76323 from Utah Chris - he has/had the same symptoms. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Last edited by mrsD; 04-16-2012 at 09:44 AM. Reason: fixing quote for clarity |

Thanks mrsD. Just to be clear, it is the temple on the left-hand side of my head... not the right, as Utah Chris mentions in his post. Last edited by mrsD; 04-16-2012 at 10:02 AM. Reason: fixing quote tags for clarity |

I don't know what is wrong with you , but I do know that sometimes that area can be aggravated by your lifestyle.
1) a poor pillow that is hard that you sleep on. 2) A cap you wear that may be too tight 3) an inflamed jaw joint. This can come from the teeth, a misalignment Try this, a ice pack on it twice a day, with a cloth to protect your skin for 15-20 minutes. If the ice pack helps, it suggests an inflamed joint, from some stressor. (clenching jaw, bite that is off, or arthritis for some reason.) These are beginning things to try...investigate. Sometimes they are clues to the problem.
