Hi MOCN,
Thanks so much for sharing your story and healing therapies with us. Were you supplementing with daily probiotics prior to becoming ill? I'm curious, did your nutritionist suggest that you continue taking them daily for the rest of your life? I am in the dental profession where antibiotics are prescribed quite often. As part of my routine patient education, I always recommend supplementation of probiotics. I encourage all patients to take them on a daily basis for life. So that if and when the need arises to take an oral antibiotic or they become ill, they will have a barrier of healthier intestinal flora which could help to avoid an unpleasant and often debilitating condition like c-diff. One other thing that I sometimes recommend in addition to the pro biotic is a pre biotic bacteria called Saccharomyces boulardii. This is a like a precursor to the probiotic to help it metabolize better. Hopefully others will read your post and be helped by your very detailed information! Thanks again! Bryanna Quote:
