Has anyone here had cataract surgery??
I started cataracts about 10 years ago. They're worse. Opthalmologist said he won't be able to improve my vision with glasses anymore. Although, vision check DID come up with a new prescription since it's been about 6 years since last pair of glasses. I'm wondering: - I can't see to read or to use the computer with current glasses. Distance vision is just starting to get blurry. - new glasses cost about $300 which I don't have yet. - if I had to get cataract surgery, that means that the prescription that I currently have would change and I'd need another set of new lenses -- RIGHT?? - even though my vision is not that "BAD" yet, would it be better for me to get the surgery now, since I know I'm going to need it eventually?? Then I could get the new glasses after I heal from the surgery?? So, I wouldn't be paying for glasses twice. Thanks. Just looking for some input from someone who's been through it already. Barb |
