maybe chronic pain? or spinal disorders? i'm sure no one would complain if you posted on both for help. |

Stumps,
I agree with Curious' ideas. Within the BT forums, there were a number of people who posted to both - the CP and SD forums - and that's perfectly okay to do ![]() Too, you could also start a new thread in this forum since it's also for conditions that aren't listed as a Forum. |

I shall do those posts tomorrow on CP and SD, rather late here now, time zones on BT can be a headache at times.
Is it only me that struggles to understand what some of the words in reports that Doctors write actually mean and finds they can't handle the situation, a case of 'oh no what else can they throw at me now'. Only got the report at the weekend so thank goodness this site is here... |

Stumps,
In addition to posting at the CP and SD forums, maybe this will help some too: http://forums.braintalk2.org/showpos...25&postcount=4 Since reports tend to be written in medical jargon, I've stopped asking for reports of when my doctors receive them. For me, it's less frustrating to have them go over what the reports mean in terms that I can understand ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I like that useful links very much indeed..
For me as a person I am finding this slimmed down version of BT much easier to use, more helpful and friendlier, possibly chattier among the different groups of posters, in fact don't feel so much of fool sitting here having a cry and asking for help from people who I have never met. Medical jargon is awful, it is only this year that it has been made law that we all receive copies of letters written about us from Consultants to our GP's. The change was long over-due but for now it is getting used to learning how to read these things correctly for me that is the problem, but very useful as at least now I have a record of the Consultation as otherwise once home I forget all.... Hopefully as well now I will be able to learn and then ask 'relevant' 'focused' questions at my next appointment. |

once mentioned this site: http://www.centralpain.org/
Don't know much about the issue, though; there used to be a Central Pain board at BT1. |
