I have low back problems, and once stuck on a plane for about 8 hours...I couldn't walk off the plane it was so bad...I limped. Called my doc for muscle relaxers while driving thru the Nevada desert and it was gone in a few days.
We all have discs that degernerate over the years, its just life. Be kind to your back since you are pre-disposed to problems!
