No one there replied, on the Peripheral Neuropathy forum...
so I'm going to hope that someone comes here and sees this. I recently found the notes I kept while I lived in the hydrogen sulfide... when I was having a LOT of trouble with balance and I was falling a lot. http://health-boundaries-bite.com/TimeLinePit.html It's possible that my nerve damage is somehow different than ordinary peripheral neuropathy because of the nerve damage from the hydrogen sulfide. I know I've also had the numbness that made it seem as if my foot had stepped off a curb and never hit ground. I think the slipping feeling must be caused by my nerves ... by my nerves having a sort of wave of feeling unrelated to anything that is a real stimulant. Just a wave of unrelated feeling. But of course I don't know. I was hoping to hear what someone else had experienced. I am still hoping. ![]()

Hi there
I too suffer from PN and have the feet feeling that you describe sometimes. But the worst thing for me is everytime I put my foot on the ground it feels as if I am walking on glass OUCH! But that slipping feeling is a nightmare, and at home in familiar territory I can handle it but like you, in public I break out in a sweat and have actually stumbled a few times. I dont carry a walking stick although I have in the past. I find it too embarrassing and hard because I have a toddler to try and manage as well Dobbier |

Thank you so much for telling me that, I was feeling so weird about the feeling. And I know about breaking out in sweat like that. The broken glass feeling is extremely painful. I've had that in my thigh. Have you tried B12? the Methylcobalamin kind? I had really a lot of it when the pain in my thigh went away, and it hasn't totally gone away. When there's stress my thigh feels peculiar, and if I don't have a B12 shot the sunburn feeling begins, which is sort of how the pain starts. (I don't like using the shots, but at the same time they work well for me, are really cheap, and I understand pretty much exactly what to expect from them.) If you try the Methylcobalamin, you may need to take quite a lot for there to be substantial difference. I had a shot a day for nearly two months before it was undeniable that the pain was better. I'd be so afraid it was going to come back, that I think I couldn't believe it was as much better as it was. A shot a day is equal to about 6 of the 5 mg Methylcobalamin sublinguals. I hope yours goes away. Especially if you have a little one! ![]()
