Sounds like a bad Chinese martial arts movie to me . I'm getting punchy! Better get to bed!

And now for something completely serious, nuts and seeds were my pitfalls on SCD. I can't eat my beloved hemp tortillas anymore because they are mostly sunflower seeds (my friend HAD to read the label to me!). If you are reacting to peanuts and sunflower seeds (I react to almonds, peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds), laying off them for a week probably won't do any good. My results from my IgG test recommended eliminating the foods I reacted to for a month, then introducing them one by one on a rotation basis (every 4 days). I'm skeptical a month is long enough! I would get really sick from eating the nuts, so even though they were my treat too, getting diarrhea then feeling crappy for a few hours afterwards was not a treat . I think healing the leaky gut is the key, and I've read that can take 4 to 9 months with weekly acupuncture; longer without. I see the acupuncture specialist next Monday - can't wait!

Ok, the D has stopped and the jumping has subsided a bit. I'm taking my multivits again that has Zinc. I hope the jumping subsides soon. It is SO annoying.

Well... the eyelid jumping migrated south. Now it feels like my intestines are vibrating. Seriously odd! It feels like I swallowed a pager or something. Has anyone else experienced that sensation?

About the time I went GF I was having vibrations in my legs - part of peripheral neuropathy. At times I would answer my cell phone thinking it was vibrating - it was only my leg. I also had some vibration in my belly but it was much less pronounced. Happy to say that these vibrations disappeared with the GF life.

Never had vibrations on the intestine - the ones in my belly felt very superficial.

At my worst, I had that feeling intensely...like someone was playing the guitar in my abdomen. It was horrific. I had to give presentations at work while this was occurring. It was awful.

Well, the last few weeks my intestinals problems have gotten progressively worse and I've been trying to find the problem. Then my bottom eyelid started jumping and has been for a couple weeks now. Oddly, as the diarrhea is starting to subside, so is the eyeball jumping.

Does this make sense to anyone? I'm sure puzzled.
Hi Nancy,

I've had the eyelid problem several times, but usually mine's in my top eyelid. I even asked my neurologist about it once, and he said it happens to everyone, even him. (no advice followed)

The leaky butt thing is way less fun, and I got that from a prescription of Sarafem, which is a Prozac item that was repackaged to sell to women for PMS... the warning sheet said that it should be avoided by people with certain blood disorders... well, my doctor clearly hadn't read that. In any case I got total incontinence and it was not a lark.

What I know about both problems, then, is that B12 can/may help. It helped me. But you have to remember to look for the methylcobalamin kind, and you have to take it sublingually.

The other thing that has made a just enormous difference for me is adding brown rice to my daily diet, in pretty huge amounts. (and with it I've lost weight )

And the still other thing... which has to do with diarrhea, I did a page on it... it's pretty clear... it has to do with how a Heavy course of antibiotics changed major things for me...

Consider This, I read your website - very intense! You have been through a lot!

It just goes to show you that there can be so many factors in diarrhea. Antibiotics are good when you need them (in your case for tetanus), but I also wonder what they do to the intestines. Same goes for ibuprofen. I am constantly getting scratched by barbed wire and other rusty metal, as I work outside, so I'm glad I'm up to date with my tetanus vaccine!

Just thought of something...

When I'm on my 24 hour fast, I don't have the vibrating gut thing going on. When I eat a big meal, it feels like I have a pager embedded in my abdomen, just left of my belly button.

Interesting.

Finally this seems to have gone away! Horray! My gut has calmed down and the twitches and vibrations are gone.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better - - hope this does not return.
