Hello MCoffey and WELCOME to Neurotalk!!

I don't have any knowledge about Hydrocephalus or what you are dealing with...but didn't want your post to go unnoticed.

Please feel free to roam around in join in anywhere...

Someone should be along shortly to help you or offer advice.

Hope to see you around the boards!!

Bless your heart.

So sorry you're having these serious medical conditions to deal with. As healing goes, each day behind you is another day closer to recovery. Suffering is no fun.

Just some thoughts.

Try to relax, if you can. You're having a bad enough time so you don't need the stress.

Breath deeply through your nose and blow out through pursed lips, about three times, or as you're able to. You may need to be doing exercises for your lungs so as not to get into a pneumonia situation from being ill and in the bed.

Prayer is always comforting. Ask for prayer or silently within your heart is okay too.

You can talk about or ask us anything. We'll understand and try to help.

You condition is a little over my head. Your best answers will be from your caregivers. I know they're busy. They should address your concerns.

If you're able, keep notes of specific things you need answers for so you'll not forget, and maybe keep a pain journal for a later reference to show your caregiver.

It sounds pretty bad right now. It won't always be this way, so just hang in there.
