Shunt irritation
My daughter is 9. She has had her current VP shunt for almost 6 years. She is starting to develop breasts and her shunt is irritating her where it goes down her chest just below the collarbone. I assume the irritation is due to her growing. Her neurosurgeon's nurse said "heat pad, ice pack, motrin, whatever works." None of those things has helped. She's usually such a happy, active little girl, but this is really getting her down. Some days she goes to school crying because it's bothering her so much. Any advice would be appreciated.
