Length of tube draining CSF fluid

Hi all!

Im curious if anyone else has expierenced this before. My vp shunt tube/catheter feels super tight and not long enough. Causing tightness in lower right side of back where the tube travels. Dr says there is nothing i can do to make it longer. Is this true?
