Or for anyone else who might know. The other day I had some labs run because of fatigue. The results came back as low Vitamin D, high platelet count and high inflammatory (marker); C Reactive Protein I believe. The doctor has had me to immediately start taking 5000 iu of Vitamin D a day. Could you shed some light on this as I don't understand the high platelet count. I DO know that I have had chronic inflammation for some time. I wish I had the exact counts but I don't. Thank you for your help.

There are studies showing C-reactive protein responds to Vit C.
You can search that on PubMed. High platelets, I do not know much about. Low platelets sometimes accompany some autoimmune diseases. Have you Googled "high platelets" ? http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-c...s/con-20032674 This appears to be a bone marrow issue. Or stimulated by certain drugs.

Thank you Mrs. D. Vitamin C was not mentioned by the nurse who called me with the results. I have googled on high platelets but I guess I don't really understand how it all comes together. I will read the link you sent and thank you. I tend to think although I am not certain, that this has to with inflammation and/or autoimmune as you mentioned.

There are also some references that low activated B6...increases C-reactive protein levels. This is called P5P. You can buy it OTC: http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/103/23/2788 http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-P-5-P...7&sr=null&ic=1

Thank you again Mrs. D. I go back to the doc on the 30th and I'll see what he has to say about all of this. He is very good and very much into natural remedies so to say. I think what he will probably do is to draw more blood to see where I am with the Vitamin D plus more tests I would assume. Thank you again...I will read those links.
